More payment options
We’ve recently added a range of new payment options to give you more flexibility in how you pay for Clinical Edge memberships and online courses.
At the checkout, you can now choose from credit or debit card (like you could previously), and we've now added Apple Pay, Google Pay, direct bank payments plus Afterpay/Clearpay for online courses (where it's available in your country).
Here’s a quick overview of what’s new.
Payment options available worldwide
These payment methods are available across the whole Clinical Edge website, including memberships and online courses:
- Credit and debit cards Standard credit and debit cards.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
A faster way to check out from your phone or browser, without entering your card details each time. - Link
Stripe’s express checkout. Your payment details are securely stored with Stripe, making future purchases quicker and easier. They’re stored by Stripe (the global payment processor we use), not by us.
Additional payment options depending on where you live
Some payment methods are country-specific, so the options you see at checkout will depend on where you’re located.
Depending on your country, you may also see:
- Direct Debit
Available for Australian bank accounts through BECS. - Pay by Bank
Pay directly from your bank account without using a card. Currently available for UK and Finnish bank accounts. - Bancontact
Available for customers in Belgium.
We’ll continue adding more local payment methods over time as they become available. Please let us know if you'd like a specific payment method for your country, and we'll see if we can help.
Afterpay and Clearpay are now available on selected online courses
In addition to all of the other payment options, we’ve also added options to pay for our online courses with Afterpay (called Clearpay in the UK):
If you’d prefer to spread the cost over time, simply choose Afterpay or Clearpay at checkout. You’ll get immediate access to the course while making payments according to the schedule Afterpay provides you with (often four equal payments spaced two weeks apart).
A few quick notes:
- Where it's available in your country, Afterpay or Clearpay will be offered as one of the payment options in the checkout phase of your online course registration.
- This is only available in supported countries, currently Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US and Canada.
- You’ll always see the payment schedule and terms before confirming your purchase.
- Afterpay/Clearpay are only available as an option for online course registrations. Their terms and conditions do not allow it to be used for memberships.
Afterpay/Clearpay approvals and payment schedules are handled by Afterpay/Clearpay, according and their terms and conditions.
Same pricing, more flexibility
Nothing changes about the price you pay or what you receive.
All pricing on Clinical Edge is listed in Australian dollars. If you’re purchasing from outside Australia, you’ll see the equivalent amount in your local currency at the checkout before completing payment.
Choosing your payment method
There’s nothing you need to set up beforehand. Here are the steps to choose your payment option:
- Register - Start a Clinical Edge membership or click register on the online course ticket you'd like.
- Account - Login or create a Clinical Edge user account and password
- Checkout - Proceed to the checkout. We’ll automatically show the payment options available in your country, and you can choose whichever one suits you best.
