These terms apply to all training courses and online education run by Clinical Edge Pty Ltd (hereafter referred to as "CE"), effective from 1st July 2015. Please read the following terms and conditions so that you fully understand what is required of you and what you can expect from us (CE). By booking a course with us you are agreeing with the following terms and conditions. If you have any questions about these terms please do not hesitate to contact us at admin(at)clinicaledge.co .

All material presented on this website is considered intellectual property. It remains the sole property of Clinical Edge. No legal action is able to be taken against Clinical Edge or any presenters.
All content is Trademark & Copyright Protected by Clinical Edge & its affiliates where necessary. Any use of material either on or from this website without the strict written consent of Clinical Edge is considered a breach of Copyright &/or Trademark Law. Any downloading of, sharing, distributing in any form, digital or otherwise is strictly prohibited.
Reproduction of any photographs, animation, video or slides without the express written consent of Clinical Edge is strictly prohibited unless through areas of the website strictly specified.
Use of Clinical Edge website requires signing in and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
All transactions performed via the Clinical Edge website are done so via Stripe and protected by an Extended Validation (EV) SSL provided by GeoTrust. Clinical Edge holds no credit card details/information. Clinical Edge cannot be held liable for any issues with money transfer or credit information and its misuse.
Clinical Edge take no responsibility for failure of users to have the correct hardware to use this site. All users should read the hardware requirements prior to joining or buying lectures – these can be found on the registration PAGE. Users will require a smarthphone, tablet or PC or MAC based personal computer running Windows XP, Vista, WIndows 7 or MAC OSX or later. An internet connection is also required as well as the ability to listen to sound through the computer (Sound Card).
Clinical Edge cannot take any responsibility for the failure of users hardware or inadvertent internet connection loss/quality deterioration during any online activities or events. It is up to the user to ensure adequate internet connection (recommended broadband at a minimum speed of 256/64) with their own internet service provider (ISP. Clinical Edge does not control, monitor or regulate users connections to the internet. It is also up to the user to ensure they have adequate UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD quota available through their ISP. Clinical Edge cannot be held responsible for breaching download/upload limits. Users must responsibly monitor their OWN ISP determined limit.
Should a legal claim arise as a result of information delivered by Clinical Edge and presenters, including but not limited to webinars, video, audio, blogposts, handouts, information and conference presentations, Clinical Edge and all presenters shall not be held liable for any claims. Legal action is unable to be taken against Clinical Edge or any presenters. It is solely the responsibility of the person viewing or participating in this content to decide how this information is used in a clinical environment. This site does not replace the need for face to face clinical training, University or higher institution training. This site facilitates the dissemination of information from 3rd parties.
Viruses, hacking and other offences
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.
Clinical Edge is a Registered Trademark & copyright protected logo/name. The use of these terms, images related to these terms, or any term/image relating to Clinical Edge infringes trademark & copyright law. Clinical Edge reserves the right to remove access from members without remuneration who breach the terms and conditions of the Clinical Edge website. This website is intended for education of Registered Health Care Providers only, and its use it not intended for the information of the general public. Clinical Edge reserves the right to deny access to members of the public and to any persons who it feels may be in violation of the terms and conditions or any policy on this site.
The information on this site is provided by Clinical Edge & whilst we endeavor to keep the information up-to-date & correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the website or the information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the website for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk.

Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, Clinical Edge takes no responsibility for & will not be liable for the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control. Clinical Edge also takes no responsibility for loss of video, audio or presentation feeds – Clinical Edge will always ensure that if any presentations are missed the viewers are able to re-watch it at anytime within 7 days of the event failure.

a) Course attendance places are only confirmed on receipt of full payment
b) If an invoice is issued for payment from an employer, full payment is due within 14 calendar days of issue of our invoice or the participants place will not be confirmed on the course
c) We reserve the right to apply a 10% surcharge in cases of overdue payment
d) There is only one member discount per subscriber per course and this cannot be transferred to another person. Only the Clinical Edge subscriber can claim the member discount for the course. This is not to be used for other members of the clinic or friends of the subscriber
e) Monthly Clinical Edge memberships will be automatically billed each month on an ongoing basis unless the subscriber notifies Clinical Edge to cease payments
f) Annual Clinical Edge memberships will automatically renew 364 days after the initial invoice unless the subscriber notifies Clinical Edge 7 days prior to the membership renewal date. Members can elect prior to this date to move from an annual membership to a monthly membership or to cease their annual membership by contacting Clinical Edge at admin(at)clinicaledge.co . If no instruction is received then the annual membership will automatically renew.
3. Clinical Edge membership
Free trial - Your free trial provides you with full access to the Clinical Edge website, and the opportunity to fully explore the website and decide that the education provided is appropriate for you. Membership payments will commence automatically on the plan you chose when signing up for a free trial, 14 days following the commencement of your trial. To cancel your membership at any stage please use the cancel button in the subscription tab in your Clinical Edge account. We recommend at least 2 business days notice but you can cancel your membership at any point prior to the next billing date. If you cancel during your free trial period you will not be charged. The 14 day free trial is only available once to new Clinical Edge membership trials. If you have experienced a free trial previously and you signup for a Clinical Edge membership your payment will be processed immediately as there is only 1 free trial per customer.
Monthly and annual membership - We recommend 2 business days notice when cancelling your Clinical Edge membership either for a free trial, monthly or annual membership. No further payments will be taken for membership if cancelled prior to the next billing date. No refunds will be provided on Clinical Edge membership, including any payments made following free trial.
Sharing - Memberships and virtual conference enrolments are for individuals only. A lot of work goes into providing great education, so please do not share memberships or virtual conference enrolments. If you share your membership or virtual conference enrolment, your membership or conference enrolment will be immediately suspended, and no refund provided. If you would like to provide access for members of your clinic, please contact admin(at)clinicaledge.co and we will be happy to provide you with clinic membership details.
Please note all dates/trial periods are in Australian Eastern Standard Time/Australian Time Zone.
3. Booking terms - completion of a booking form creates a binding agreement to follow the course and pay the full fee. Participants are not confirmed on the course until full course fees have been paid.
Booking - The full course fee is due at the time of booking. If you are applying for funding the course fee will need to be paid at the time of booking and this will be refunded when paid by your employer. All payments must be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) or a currency available on the booking form. A contract will exist as soon as we issue your course confirmation email. A certificate of attendance will be issued once you complete the course AND course fees are paid in full.
Price - Prices quoted on the website are per person incl GST and are quoted in Australian Dollars and other currencies. You may elect to use AUD or an alternative currency (if available). Prices do not include travel to and from the course, or accommodation unless otherwise stated. It must be assumed that all payments received will be debited from your account within 5 working days. CE will not be held responsible for returned cheques due to insufficient funds being available in your account. A $50 admin fee is due for any cheques returned by your bank as unpaid.
Eligibility to attend courses - The prerequisites for entry to face to face courses are a Bachelor Degree (including a major in Anatomy) in one of the health sciences with an emphasis on manual therapy and orthopaedic and manual musculoskeletal medicine. The following are the only suitable professions:
Sports Physician training
Please see each course for further specific guidance on eligible professions.
Students - Due to APA requirements, students are not able to attend face to face courses eg Sports Integrated Dry Needling, until studies are completed and registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) or the relevant registration board is obtained. Students are able to become Clinical Edge members and attend virtual conferences and webinars.
Cancellation by you - We will try to accommodate any changes in your needs but cannot always guarantee that we will be able to do so. If you need to cancel your course for any reason after booking you must inform us as soon as possible. If you do cancel the refund terms are as follows:
Cancellations of online course enrolment, eg the Running Repairs online course will not receive any refund whatsoever.
For physical, face to face courses, cancellations received more than 3 weeks before the course start date have a $200 or 10% of full fee administration fee (whichever is greater). Cancellations received less than 3 weeks before course start date you pay 100% of the total paid. If no notice is given or you fail to attend or leave the course (due to illness or other reason), you pay 100% of the total paid.
* The start date for courses spread over more than one weekend / block of days is the first day of the first weekend / block of days. We cannot refund for subsequent weekends / days with such courses. If possible we will try to accommodate people on future dates but this is at the discretion of CE and is not guaranteed. If agreed, all changes will incur our standard administration charge of $50 (incl GST) before the change is processed.
This applies to all cancellations, including those due to medical (including pregnancy), personal or family reasons. Should you wish to cancel your space on any course AND you find a replacement for your space we will simply charge you a $50 (incl GST) administration fee. We will credit your account with the refund, less the administration fee, which you can then either use towards other events or, if you require a refund, simply request this via email with your account details, and we will issue a direct deposit to your account. The replacement participant will need to pay for the course in full themselves, we cannot transfer credit from your account to theirs. If no suitable replacement is offered by you, this will be treated as a late cancellation and the above charges will apply.
Cancellation by us - We will always try our best to avoid cancelling an event. If circumstances occur that force us to cancel an event you will receive a full refund of any course fees paid or the opportunity to transfer your place to the same course on another date or another course/s up to the same value. Any card fees paid will not be refunded.
We aim to give a minimum of 2-3 weeks notice when cancelling an event. CE are not held liable for any additional expenses you incur through cancelling the event e.g. travel expenses and accommodation. If there are circumstances beyond our control which cause us to cancel or change your trip such as war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions applications we will not refund or pay you any compensation or be liable for any other expenses to you.
If you have booked on a course with Clinical Edge and you do not meet the course pre-requisites (e.g required profession, professional registration and insurance requirements or previous training requirements (e.g attending Level 1 Dry Needling course prior to the level 2 course) then you will be removed from the course and nil refund will be provided, so please ensure that the course requirements are meet prior to enrolment on the course. Clinical Edge will not be liable for any additional expenses associated with removing you from the event e.g travel and accommodation expenses.
Cancellation by us due to participant illness -
If you become unwell at the course or attend the course unwell and are infectious you will be asked to leave the course (e.g conjunctivitis, gastro/food poisoning/vomiting or diarrhoea or other). Nil refund will be given in this instance. In the event of diarrhoea or vomiting prior to the course you will need to be 48hrs without symptoms to be able to attend the course. We will try and fill your place on the course if we can, however if we are not able to then no refund will be available if it is within 3 weeks of the event commencement date. Clinical Edge will not be liable for any additional expenses associated with removing you from the event e.g travel and accommodation expenses due to illness.
Refunds - Any eligible face-to-face course refunds processed will be forwarded only to the credit card used for the purchase.
Other Refunds for Virtual conferences , and online courses (including the Running Repairs online course and The Shoulder: Steps to Success online course) - no refunds will be provided on any of the a online courses or virtual conference enrolments.. No refunds will be provided on Clinical Edge membership payments as per above section 3.
Waiting Lists - Participants are free to place themselves on a waiting list if a course is full. If a space becomes available on a course, we will email everyone on the waiting list and allow 24 hours for anyone to get back to us. After that period we will remove all those on the waiting list and release the space to the website, thereby allowing any eligible person to book the space whilst it remains available. We reserve the right to remove any person/s from any waiting list in accordance with the above policy.
Service - We will endeavour to provide the course as described on the website or any other promotional material. Please be aware, due to unforeseen circumstances details may need to be altered, however the overall quality of the course will not be diminished and we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible of any changes.
Partners - We work with a number of other companies, venues and service partners and cannot be held liable for any damages, losses or inconveniences resulting from them. We will always try to make sure these problems are minimal and will deal with any situations as they arise.
Limit of liability - CE have a duty of care to its customers and staff but are only liable up to the cost of your course. We cannot be held responsible for damage and/or loss to your personal possessions. We are also not liable for failure in carrying out the contract if the failure is due to the action of the participant or the action of a third party.
Your responsibilities - You accept that some courses have a practical component to them which if applied inappropriately may involve elements of risk or discomfort. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you take personal responsibility for your own actions. CE take no responsibility for damage, death or injury caused to you or by you as a result of participation. CE take no responsibility for the use of any material or skills with any future patients following completion of your course. You must at all times work within your own ability and scope of practice. We reserve the right to refuse your acceptance on a course if we feel it is outside your scope of practice and may put other participants at risk or injury or discomfort. It is your responsibility to ensure you have professional liability insurance to cover you for your attendance at the course and the course content and that you meet the criteria for attending the course. We reserve the right to refuse entry to a course (or remove you from a course) if you cannot demonstrate you have appropriate liability insurance or you do not have the qualifications required to attend (e.g Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath or Sports Doctor for Dry Needling Plus courses and Physiotherapists only for any courses conducted by LJ Lee).
You must be physically able to partake in the course and if you do have any injuries, discomfort or prior knowledge that is relevant to any activities being performed it is your responsibility to make those known. We reserve the right to remove any person from a course if their behaviour is deemed by the lecturer/tutor to be detrimental to the group, unsafe or adversely affecting the groups' enjoyment. We will not be liable for any refund in these circumstances.
Medical - It is your responsibility to ensure that you are sufficiently fit and adequately equipped to partake on your chosen course. You must tell us of any medical conditions at the time of booking via email to admin(at)clinicaledge.co .
It is also your responsibility to inform Clinical Edge of any dietary requirements or allergies (e.g food related or latex) at the time of enrolment or at least 3 weeks prior to the course commencing.
If for any reason you are not in a suitable condition to attend or complete a course or are under the influence of drink or drugs the facilitator or tutor may ask you to leave the course. We will not be liable for any extra expense incurred by this and you will not be able to claim a refund. It is your responsibilty to inform Clinical Edge if you are pregnant or become pregnant after registering for the course. You will not be allowed to complete either the Sports Integrated Dry Needling Level 1 or 2 courses if you are pregnant. If you are unwell on the day you may also be asked to leave the course (e.g bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, vomiting/diarrhoea within 48 hrs of the course, conjunctivitis etc). Nil refund will be given.
Complaints - Should you have a problem or complaint on your course you must bring it to the attention of our staff as soon as possible and we will try to rectify the problem. If you feel that the problem was not resolved and resulted in a much reduced enjoyment of the course you must inform us in writing within 28 days and we will respond within 28 days to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both parties.
Privacy- We will not pass on your personal details to any third party except for training partners and lecturers presenting at one of our courses/conferences. Their individual terms and conditions will need to be consulted. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of having your details passed on.
4. Course Participation during Pregnancy - Enrolling in Sports Integrated Dry Needling Level 1 or 2 is not advised if you are pregnant.
5. There may be an element of undressing as part of the practical components of courses. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for participation in practical components where undressing is not required.
